They're looking for a CNC Grinderto strengthen their Grinding department. Whether you bring solid CNC experience or a strong grinding background with CNC exposure, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within a stable, forward-thinking manufacturing environment.

The Role:

\n

As a CNC Grinder, youll be responsible for setting and operating both manual and CNC grinders, producing high-quality components that meet exacting engineering standards. Youll work from technical drawings, make offsets and basic program edits, and ensure all parts are manufactured accurately, efficiently, and on time.

Youll also:

  • \n

    Set and operate CNC machines (Okuma, Takamaz, Nakamura Tome TW-10), including multi-manning

    • \n
  • \n

    Operate manual machines for core machining tasks

    • \n
  • \n

    Inspect components using standard measuring equipment

    • \n
  • \n

    Ensure all documentation is completed accurately

    • \n
  • \n

    Support colleagues and assist with alternative tasks as required

    • \n
  • \n

    Contribute to achieving production, quality, efficiency, and delivery targets

    • \n
What Theyre Looking For:\n

Essential

    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

    • \n
  • \n

    Experience or understanding of grinding principles (manual and/or CNC)

    • \n
  • \n

    A dependable, detail-focused team player

    Willingness to follow procedures and work to high standards

Desirable

  • \n

    NVQ in Engineering Manufacture or Advanced Modern Apprenticeship

    • \n
  • \n

    Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment

    • \n
  • \n

    GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above)

    • \n
  • \n

    Computer literacy

    • \n
  • \n

    Confident use of standard measuring equipment

    • \n
Working Hours:\n

A/B Shift Rotation 37 hours per week

    20% shift premium on B Shift
