What are we looking for?\n
\nWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Class 1 driver & Car enthusiast to join our specialist Motorfreight division at Thorne operating throughout Great Britain.\n
Rate of pay:\n
\nBasic (50 hrs / week) £17.00\n
\nOvertime 1 (Mon-Fri) £18.49\n
\nOvertime 2 (Sat) £22.31\n
\nOvertime 3 (Sun & PH) £22.31\n
\nNight Away Allowance £28.00\n

Job Role and Responsibilities:\n
\n
    \n
  • Safe, efficient and responsible driving of Company vehicle.
  • \n
  • Presentation of vehicle to customer and completion of full handover including explanation of controls and features.
  • \n
  • Delivery documents on electronic platforms using tablets or smart phones.
  • \n
\n
Essential Criteria:\n
\n
    \n
  • HGV Class C&E (Class 1) licence.
  • \n
  • Digital tachograph card and driver's CPC qualification card.
  • \n
  • Minimum 1 years CE driving experience.
  • \n
  • Able to maintain a good standard of driving.
  • \n
  • Clean license preferable but up to a maximum 6 points is acceptable.
  • \n
  • Able to demonstrate right to work in the UK.
  • \n
  • Good knowledge of drivers hours and WTD regulations.
  • \n
\n
Desirable Criteria:\n
\nPrevious experience working within the automotive industry.\n
Training:\n
\nFull training on transporter equipment and all aspects of the role is provided on a one-on-one basis with one of our Driver Trainers.\n
