\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to contribute to the commercial, contractual and procurement activities within a busy regional business unit. Youll work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers and external partners to support efficient, cost-effective project delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesScheduling & Procurement\n- \n

Prepare accurate schedules and quantify materials and labour requirements.

Work closely with internal departments to ensure project viability and cost effectiveness.
\n - \n
Ensure all project specifications and programmes are adhered to, maintaining high quality standards.
\n - \n
Process applications and payments, resolving issues with Finance where required.
\n

Assist with WIP reporting and cashflow forecasting.
\n - \n
Monitor, reconcile and recharge costs associated with shared items across group or external businesses.
\n - \n
Calculate prime costs for developments and highlight any movement from initial funding stages.
\n - \n
Support the preparation and authorisation of Project Budgets.
\n - \n
Maintain development budgets within Coins and Bills of Quantities.
\n - \n
Manage RSL valuations and attend relevant on-site meetings.
\n

Track and explain all cost movements within project valuations.
\n - \n
Manage contractor, subcontractor, and consultant orders, payments, variations and dayworks.
\n - \n
Review variations on joint venture or third-party schemes, liaising with the Technical Project Manager as needed.
\n - \n
Conduct monthly site valuations based on budgeted costs.
\n - \n
Complete the full CVR process and present findings in monthly finance meetings.
\n - \n
Produce Cost-to-Complete reports and ensure budgets are accurate and up to date.
\n - \n
Forecast final accounts and present cost-to-complete outcomes.
\n

Maintain an understanding of all relevant codes of practice and legislation, including Building Regulations, NHBC and HSE requirements.
\n - \n
Attend pre-start, pre-tender, specification and other key meetings.
\n - \n
Maintain accurate records across Coins, Excel and other systems.
\n - \n
Carry out regular site visits to support commercial functions.
\n - \n
Undertake any additional duties as required by the Senior Commercial Manager.

Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC standards and Health & Safety requirements.
\n - \n
Industry-related qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or similar).
\n - \n
Experience working with internal and external stakeholders in a commercial construction environment.
\n - \n
IT proficient, ideally with experience using COINS or similar construction management software.
\n
