CNC Turner Night Shift

About the Role

We at Work Lyf Group are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering business based in Staffordshire. This is a permanent night shift opportunity offering excellent earning potential through shift premiums and overtime.

Salary & Benefits

£16.00 £18.00 per hour (depending on experience)

• Night shift premium paid at 1.33x basic rate
\n
• Overtime paid at 1.5x basic rate
\n
• Up to 7 hours overtime available per week
\n

Working Hours (Night Shift)

Monday to Thursday:

\n
• Monday to Wednesday: 18:00 04:30 (10 hours @ 1.33x) 04:30 06:00 (1.5 hours @ 1.5x)
\n
• Thursday: 18:00 03:30 (9 hours @ 1.33x)03:30 06:00 (1.5 hours @ 1.5x)
\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Setting and operating CNC turning machines
\n
• Editing offsets and making minor program adjustments
\n
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances
\n
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
\n
• Carrying out self-inspection using measuring equipment
\n
• Maintaining high quality and production standards
\n

Requirements

\n
• Proven experience as a CNC Turner
\n
• Ability to set and operate CNC lathes independently
\n
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
\n
• Experience using inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
\n
• High attention to detail
\n
• Willingness to work permanent night shifts
\n

Desirable

\n
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens controls
\n
• Programming knowledge
\n
• Background in precision engineering environments
\n
