Monday to Thursday

• Early Shift: 05:45 - 13:45
\n • Late Shift: 14:15 - 22:25

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected engineering and manufacturing business based in the Didcot area.

\n

Due to continued growth and increasing demand, our client is looking to recruit an experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator to join their skilled production team. The Role

\n

As a Production Technician (Welder/Fabricator), you will be responsible for carrying out a mixture of welding, fabrication and production activities to support the manufacture of high-quality engineered products. You will work to strict quality and safety standards while contributing to the ongoing success and continuous improvement of the production operation.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

• Carrying out TIG welding to a high standard
\n • Supporting MIG welding activities where required
\n • Working from engineering drawings, technical specifications and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
\n • Maintaining and working towards company welding qualifications and coded welding standards
\n • Fabricating, assembling and finishing precision engineered components
\n • Completing grinding, forming and material preparation activities
\n • Supporting additional manufacturing processes as required
\n • Operating overhead cranes and production equipment (training available where required)
\n • Working closely with production, engineering and support teams
\n • Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards
\n • Contributing towards continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities across the business

What We're Looking For

\n

Essential

\n

• Previous TIG welding experience
\n • Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment
\n • Experience with a range of fabrication techniques
\n • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
\n • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
\n • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
\n • Flexible approach and willingness to learn new processes and products
\n • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable

\n

• Previous MIG welding experience
\n • Experience working to coded welding standards
\n • Experience working on pressure vessels or similar specialist fabrications
\n • Overhead crane experience
\n • Engineering or welding qualifications

\n
