Class 1 Night Trunk Driver immediate start

We are looking for a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver to join our team based in Castle Vale, Birmingham. This Permanent role allows supporting Multidrop deliveries during the day.

Permanent role:

Class 1 Night Trunk Driver – immediate start. The first two or three days you will spend with one of our quality experienced drivers for full on-the-job training, support loading/ unloading processes, the use of the pump-trucks and handheld scanners, yard procedures and H&S sign-off

£16.45 per hour, paid weekly (minimum of 46.25 paid hours guaranteed per week) and overtime paid after the weekly hours worked at £17.45 per hour.

Multidrop deliveries, over two trips and collections planned where required

As a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver, you will need:

\n
• Night trunking from our yard in Castle Vale to the Birmingham and Coventry HUBS
\n
• Night trunking from some of our local customers in Birmingham to the Birmingham and Coventry HUBS
\n
• Must have experience in operating double-deck trailers
\n
• You will tip at the HUB and reload for the yard, and must be able to use/ pull a double-deck trailer curtain
\n
• Some drop and swap trailers are required
\n
• There is some downtime at the HUBS in the small hours of the night once tipped and waiting to load
\n
• Monday to Friday nights
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Be over the Age of 23 (based on experience)
\n
• Have no more than 6 points
\n
• Have had an HGV Licence for more than 2 years
\n
• Flexibility to operational needs
\n
• Start times are either from 16:00 to 18:00
\n
• Full training provided
\n
• All new drivers are paired up with one of our experienced drivers for on-the-job training for 2/3 shifts.
