HGV Class 2 ADR Driver – Cumbernauld

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 ADR Driver to join our client's expanding transport team based in Cumbernauld.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers to secure full-time work, permanent work with excellent rates of pay, full training, and genuine long-term progression.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.

Shifts:

  •  Monday to Friday
\n   •  06:00 starts

Rates of Pay:£14.50 – £18.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a HGV Class 2 ADR Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  •  Safely driving and operating Category C vehicles
\n   •  Delivery of chemicals
\n   •  Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
\n   •  Completing pre- and post-journey vehicle checks
\n   •  Ensuring all loads are secure before transport
\n   •  Maintaining accurate delivery documentation
\n   •  Following planned routes and delivery schedules
\n   •  Communicating professionally with customers and transport teams
\n   •  Some handball required

Essential Skills:

The skills required to be a HGV Class 2 ADR Driver are:

• Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
\n
• Valid ADR Certificate
\n
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
\n
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD or CD codes)
\n
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
\n
• Good communication and customer service skills
\n
• Strong understanding of road safety and traffic regulations
\n

Desirable Experience

  •  Previous commercial Class 2 driving experience
\n   •  Customer-facing delivery experience

Training Provided

  •  Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
