Salary: Up to £30,000 dependant on experience, + additional benefits\n
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm\n
Location: Commutable via Metro Tram Link, Trafford area, Greater Manchester, Stockport, Sale, Altrincham and surrounding areas\n
The Company:\n
\nMy clients are leaders in their field within the construction industry, manufacturing in specialised building products. Due to growth within the business, my clients are currently recruiting for a Technical Officer to join their technical team.
The technical team provide support and technical advice to our internal and external customers related to the technical elements of our product range.\n
\nThe role can be fast paced and varied, as part of your work will support commercial enquiries which require a quick turnaround to secure the sales/orders.\n
The position involves:\n
\n

\n
• Reviewing construction plans/drawing and providing design and technical advice to customers.
\n
• Delivering front-line technical support to customers and internal teams
\n
• Manage/resolve customer queries and complaints
\n
• Conduct risk analyses in accordance with regulations and BS standards
\n
• Perform customer quotes
\n
• Develop ventilation strategies for residential and commercial properties
\n
• Handle special enquiries for non-standard product requests
\n
• Log and monitor customer enquiries, identifying trends and potential issues.
\n
• Perform take-off and quotation services for product range
\n
• Log and monitor customer enquiries, identifying trends and potential issues
\n
• Provide specification support to internal sales teams
\n
• Full training will be provided where necessary
\n

The support you provide is typically via phone/email or video call, however some travel may occasionally be required to site visits. Full UK Driving licence required, as a pool car is provided for site visits.\n
About you:\n

\n
• Are you a confident administrator with a technical mindset, with strong attention to detail.
\n
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
\n
• Knowledge of the construction industry and construction products (essential)
\n
• Good numerical skills
\n
• Ability to learn quickly
\n
• Team working skills
\n
• Flexible and adaptable to a fast paced environment.
\n
• Confident using Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Outlook, Teams, Excel)
\n
• AutoCAD/Revit and SAP knowledge desirable but not essential
\n
• You will have experience in a similar role within the construction sector, ideally for a construction products manufacturing business.
