Job Description

A growing law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Fee Earner to join their team in Manchester.

\n

This role involves managing a varied caseload of litigated personal injury matters, providing high-quality legal advice and delivering excellent client service.

\n

The successful candidate will have experience handling personal injury litigation, a strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and the ability to manage a busy caseload while working towards team and financial objectives.

\n

The Role

\n

You will be responsible for managing a caseload of personal injury litigation matters, including:

\n

• Handling litigated personal injury claims including RTA, EL and PL matters

\n

• Managing cases from initial instruction through to resolution

\n

• Advising clients throughout the litigation process and providing clear, practical guidance

\n

• Drafting court documents, witness statements and instructions to counsel

\n

• Reviewing evidence, conducting investigations and developing case strategies

\n

• Managing deadlines, compliance requirements and service level agreements

\n

• Handling credit hire matters and related legal issues where applicable

\n

• Working towards agreed financial and performance targets

\n

• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders

\n

• Ensuring all files are managed in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements

\n

Requirements

\n

• Previous experience managing litigated personal injury claims

\n

• Experience handling small claims and fast track matters

\n

• Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules

\n

• Ability to draft court documents, witness statements and instructions to counsel

\n

• Experience dealing with RTA and/or EL/PL claims

\n

• Good understanding of credit hire principles and relevant case law would be advantageous

\n

• Excellent client care and communication skills

\n

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines

\n

• Commercial awareness with a proactive approach to case management

\n

• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team

\n

• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office; experience using LEAP would be advantageous

\n
