In-House Corporate Lawyer (4+ PQE) – Private Equity & M&A

A dynamic and expanding private equity firm in Brighton is looking to appoint an ambitious Corporate Lawyer to join its in-house legal team. This opportunity is for a Lawyer with experience levels from circa 4+ PQE who are seeking a more commercially embedded role.

This is a standout in-house position offering genuine exposure to the full private equity lifecycle. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and deal teams on high-quality transactions, playing a key role in shaping and executing investments.

The Role

You will be at the heart of transactional activity, advising on:

• Buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions
\n
• Private equity investments and exits
\n
• Drafting and negotiating key documentation (including SPAs, investment agreements and NDAs)
\n
• Managing and coordinating due diligence processes
\n
• Providing ongoing corporate and strategic advice to portfolio companies
\n

Depending on your level of experience, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of transactions and act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership.

About You

\n
• UK-qualified Solicitor with strong corporate experience (private practice or in-house)
\n
• Ideally a background in M&A, with exposure to private equity or complex transactions highly advantageous
\n
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and confident working closely with non-legal stakeholders
\n
• For more senior candidates, a desire to step into a broader, business-facing role with real influence
\n
