JOB OVERVIEW

We're recruiting a full-time Mobile Automotive Technician for our client, a well-established automotive business in the Braintree, Essex area. You'll work on a variety of vehicles, performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards. This is a permanent role offering competitive salary and the opportunity to develop your skills across all makes and models.

SALARY

£40,000£48,000 per annum (PAYE)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer procedures and standards

• Conduct fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical issues
\n
• Carry out inspections and safety checks to identify potential problems
\n
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
\n
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns professionally
\n
• Work flexibly across a range of job types, from basic maintenance to complex repairs
\n

QUALIFICATIONS

Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

\n
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent in vehicle maintenance/repair
\n
• Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with all makes and models
\n
• Proven experience with timing belts, chains, clutch replacements, and diagnostics
\n
• Must own your own tools
\n
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
\n
• Strong communication skills
\n

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

UK resident or able to work full-time in the UK

\n
• Licence check will be required
\n
• Flexible availability, 8am6pm Monday to Friday
\n
• Overtime opportunities available (Saturdays, paid separately)
\n
