HGV Class 1 Driver

\n Salary: £19.05 per hour (PAYE)
\n Job Type: Full-time, 3-Month Contract (Potential Permanent Opportunity)
\n Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am 4:30pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Driver to join our client based in Needingworth. This is an immediate start with a 3-month contract and the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful probationary period.

You'll be driving a flatbed HGV, delivering bagged aggregates to builders' merchants across East Anglia. The role offers excellent working hours, paid breaks, and no manual unloading.

• Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) flatbed vehicle.
\n
• Complete up to three deliveries per shift to builders' merchants across East Anglia.
\n
• Secure loads using sheeting and strapping (full training provided).
\n
• Assist with forklift loading and unloading where required (no handballing involved).
\n
• Complete all relevant delivery paperwork accurately.
\n
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and comply with all road transport legislation and company procedures.
\n

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
\n
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
\n
• A professional and reliable approach to work.
\n
• Good understanding of driver hours and road safety regulations.
\n
• Previous flatbed experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
\n
