HGV Class 1 ADR Driver - Irlam, Manchester

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 ADR Driver to join our well-established client based in Irlam, Greater Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work within a supportive and professional environment.

This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, or Tanker Driver.

The HGV Class 1 ADR Driver will be responsible for driving Class 1 tankers and will be required to complete nights out.

This is an ongoing position with the potential of a contract for the right candidate.

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday
\n
• Start times between 04:00 and 07:00
\n

Rates of Pay:

\n
• £19.00 per hour
\n
• £26.20 night out allowance
\n

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a HGV Class 1 ADR Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

\n
• Safely transporting goods to client sites
\n
• Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
\n
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
\n
• Adhering to traffic laws and company procedures
\n
• Communicating effectively with the transport office
\n
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs promptly
\n

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a HGV Class 1 ADR Driver, you will need:

\n
• A valid UK Category CE licence
\n
• A minimum of eighteen months' experience driving Category CE vehicles
\n
• A valid ADR licence
\n
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
\n
• A valid UK CPC card and Digi card
\n
• Good spoken and written English
\n
• Punctuality and excellent timekeeping skills
\n
• A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
\n
• Effective communication skills
\n

Desirable Experience:

\n
• Previous commercial driving experience
\n

Training:

\n
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout
\n
