Key Responsibilities\n
\n
- \n
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns \n
- Diagnose and repair faults across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems \n
- Maintain and troubleshoot extrusion lines and associated downstream equipment \n
- Support machine set-up, commissioning and continuous improvement projects \n
- Work closely with production teams to optimise performance and reduce downtime \n
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and fault logs \n
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals \n
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety and environmental standards \n
- Assist with general site maintenance (lighting, power, basic plumbing) \n
What Were Looking For\n
\n
- \n
- Recognised Engineering qualificationis ideal (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND) \n
- Proven maintenance experience within manufacturing or automated machinery environments \n
- Strong fault-finding ability on PLC systems, motors, sensors and drives \n
- Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems \n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment \n
- Strong understanding of safe working practices \n
Desirable Skills\n
\n
- \n
- 18th Edition (if electrically biased) \n
- Experience with PLC fault finding \n
- Knowledge of Lean, 5S, TPM or continuous improvement \n
