\nDue to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Commercial Manager to join our team and support the successful delivery of utility and cable joining projects across the UK.
\nThe Role
\nAs Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in managing the commercial performance of projects and frameworks within the utilities sector. Working closely with operational teams, clients, and senior leadership, you will ensure robust commercial governance, contractual compliance, and effective cost control across multiple projects.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with strong utilities experience who is looking to progress within a dynamic and expanding business.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nLead the commercial management of utility and cable joining projects from tender through to final account
\nManage NEC and other standard forms of contract
\nOversee valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accounts
\nMonitor project costs, profitability, and commercial risk
\nProvide commercial support and guidance to operational delivery teams
\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
\nSupport procurement and subcontract management activities
\nEnsure compliance with company procedures and contractual obligations
\nProduce accurate commercial reporting and forecasts for senior management
\nIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiencies
\nAbout You
\nWe are looking for a commercially focused professional with experience within utilities, power, civil engineering, or infrastructure environments.
\nEssential Requirements
\nProven experience in a Commercial Manager or Quantity Surveyor role
\nExperience within utilities, cable joining, power distribution, or infrastructure projects
\nExcellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
\nStrong analytical and financial management abilities
\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
\nFull UK driving licence
\nDesirable
\nDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline
\nExperience working within DNO or IDNO frameworks
