\n Hill McGlynn Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established and growing roofing and refurbishment contractor who are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Sevenoaks.\n
\n This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step, to join a forward-thinking business delivering roofing, fit out, refurbishment, and maintenance projects across the South East. Working closely with the business owner, you'll play a key role in managing multiple projects from inception through to final account, with genuine opportunities for long-term career progression as the company continues to grow.\n
The Role\n
\n As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered profitably while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.\n
Key Responsibilities\n
\n

\n
• Managing multiple roofing, refurbishment, and fit out projects from tender through to final account
\n
• Preparing cost plans, budgets, valuations, and final accounts
\n
• Reviewing contracts and tender documentation
\n
• Procuring subcontractors and negotiating supplier quotations
\n
• Managing subcontractor accounts, applications, and payments
\n
• Monitoring project costs and identifying opportunities to maximise profitability
\n
• Preparing and submitting interim valuations and payment applications
\n
• Pricing variations and managing change control throughout projects
\n
• Producing cost reports and forecasting project performance
\n
• Liaising with clients, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
\n
• Carrying out site visits across the South East as required
\n
• Supporting the successful commercial delivery of several smaller-value projects simultaneously
\n

Requirements\n
\n

\n
• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within roofing, refurbishment and fit out
\n
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish
\n
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or significant relevant industry experience
\n
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
\n
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
\n
• Full UK Driving Licence
\n
