SEN TA with Autism Experience
\nLocation: Bristol
\nPay Rate: £90 - £100 per day (subject to experience and qualifications).
\nHours: This role is both full-time and part-time and during school hours, term-time only.
\nWe are working with many reputable SEN schools across the South-West who require teachers, teaching assistants, and cover supervisors. We are currently hiring for a teaching assistant with SEN experience, particularly experience specialising in Autism. The role will involve providing support to pupils with Autism of both primary and secondary ages and can be on either a part- or full-time basis.
\nResponsibilities include:
\nTo plan and deliver learning activities to children and young people, differentiating, modifying and using specialist activities and approaches according to children or young people's responses/needs.
\nTo support students with ASD to fulfil their academic potential.
\nTo support all pupils, and particularly those with ASD to play a full role in the life of the school, building their confidence and self-esteem
\nTo be involved in keeping records and evaluating identified students progress.
\nTo assist with the development and implementation of support plans.
\nTo prepare students beforehand for a task, e.g. pre-teaching
\nTo supervise practical tasks.
\nTo carry out structured classroom assessment/observation and feedback outcomes.
\nAssist scholars with physical needs.
\nUnder the direction of appropriate professionals and after adequate training, to assist in meeting particular scholars needs, e.g. physical development, speech/language development, and medical needs identified in an approved care plan agreed by parents
\nQualifications & attributes:
\nLevel 2/3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or Equivalent qualifications in areas of SEN, Autism, Social Care
\nA strong academic or work background with Special Educational Needs
