Job Description

Due to continued expansion our client is looking to add a skilled CNC Turner / Miller to their manufacturing team., working within a modern machine shop, the successful CNC Turner / Miller will play a key role in producing precision-engineered components across a variety of materials. This is a hands-on position offering variety, responsibility, and the chance to develop your skills within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, programme, and operate CNC turning and milling machines.
  • \n
  • Produce precision components from technical drawings and specifications.
  • \n
  • Interpret CAD drawings and SolidWorks models accurately.
  • \n
  • Carry out quality inspections using standard measuring equipment.
  • \n
  • Select and set up tooling for a range of materials and applications.
  • \n
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and carry out basic machine maintenance.
  • \n
  • Support wider production activities, including plastics manufacturing processes when required.
  • \n
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working environment.
  • \n

Skills & Experience Required

\n

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience as a CNC Turner / Miller in a manufacturing environment.
  • \n
  • Ability to programme CNC machines from scratch.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of both CNC turning and milling processes.
  • \n
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with Siemens, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls.
  • \n
  • Good understanding of tooling, fixtures, and machine setup.
  • \n
  • Competent using hand tools, workshop equipment, and measuring instruments.
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive and organised approach.
  • \n
