Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to organize and implement physical therapy programs aimed at facilitating rehabilitation for our clients.

• Administer diagnostic tests to evaluate the extent of patients' impairments and their potential for improvement.
• Develop a tailored care plan addressing identified impairments.

Position Duties

• Assess clients, create suitable treatment goals and methods, implement the physical therapy plan, and manage all related documentation.
• Apply therapeutic techniques in areas such as gait, ambulation, muscle strength, coordination, endurance, mobility, posture control, sensory awareness, balance, and orientation.
• Design and fit adaptive devices, training clients in their use, including orthotics and prosthetics.
• Select appropriate physical agent modalities based on individual needs, physical capabilities, and diagnoses.
• Consult with rehabilitation team members to determine the most effective therapeutic regimen tailored to each client's needs.
• Instruct clients in the skills necessary for mobility activities and assess their progress, attitudes, and behaviors related to rehabilitation potential.
• Customize treatment programs to align with the unique needs of each client.
• Actively participate in client care discussions, staffing meetings, and related gatherings.
• Supervise supportive personnel in compliance with state and professional standards.
• Conduct training sessions for medical, nursing, and other staff on physical therapy techniques and objectives.
• Ensure clients and their families receive exceptional service in a compassionate environment that respects individual needs and rights.
• Adapt to staffing needs within our therapy programs as required.
• Follow established policies, procedures, and objectives of the organization.
• Exemplify professionalism and embody values that support our mission.
• Demonstrate proficiency in electronic medical record documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapy Licensure in Massachusetts.

Physical Requirements

• Engage with patients in various circumstances, which may involve exposure to unpleasant odors, sights, and sounds.
• Adapt to varying and unpredictable situations.
• May encounter infections, contagious diseases, and bloodborne pathogens.
• Utilize gloves, gowns, and masks as necessary.
• Involve prolonged standing or walking.
• Lift, position, transport, and/or transfer patients.
• Handle supplies and equipment as needed.
• Perform considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.

Salary Range

$86,670.93 - $130,006.92
