Job Opportunity: Pediatric Anesthesiologist

Our organization, a well-regarded academic medical center located in northern New England, is seeking a fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologist to enhance our expanding pediatric service line. This position provides a consistent and predictable schedule of clinical work without on-call duties, set within a comprehensive academic environment that integrates complex pediatric care with a robust teaching culture.

Schedule and Work Hours

• Work hours range from 40 to 50 hours weekly.
• Typical shifts start around 7:00 AM and conclude by 5:30 PM.
• Availability for at least two consecutive weeks each month is required.
• Overtime is not included in this role.

Clinical Responsibilities

You will be part of a large, well-supported anesthesia department that includes physicians, advanced practice providers, and rotating residents and students. The clinical practice encompasses a diverse patient population, from neonates to adults. While pediatric care is the primary focus, you should also be adept at managing some adult cases.

• Caseload includes routine pediatric ambulatory procedures and increasingly complex surgeries.
• Involvement with a growing number of pediatric neurosurgical cases.
• Collaboration with the pediatric neurosurgery team in a tertiary care setting handling high-acuity cases across various specialties.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Board certified or eligible in anesthesiology within the last five years.
• Completion of a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
• A clean malpractice history is mandatory.
• Comfortable with both pediatric and adult anesthesia.
• Experience with the EPIC EMR system is required.
• Possession or eligibility for a New Hampshire medical license.
• BLS certification and a valid DEA registration are necessary.

Applicants with pending or settled malpractice cases, as well as those located outside the United States, will not be considered.
