Exciting OB/GYN Position - Waterbury, Connecticut
We are looking for a board-eligible or board-certified OB/GYN physician to become a part of our dynamic practice in Waterbury, CT. Our team consists of four physicians and one midwife, with weekend coverage managed by other local practices. This is a bustling environment, allowing a new OB/GYN to begin with a full patient roster, ensuring a well-rounded experience in both obstetrics and gynecology.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver medical services related to pregnancy and women's reproductive health
Conduct patient examinations and gather medical histories
Perform screenings for breast, cervical, and ovarian cancers
Assist in the delivery of babies, whether vaginally or via cesarean section
Address urinary tract and pelvic disorders, hormonal imbalances, and sexually transmitted infections
Order, conduct, and analyze diagnostic tests
Develop treatment plans and refer patients to specialists and hospital programs as necessary
Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough patient documentation
Work with Practice Management to ensure compliance with billing and coding standards
Encourage wellness and health education among patients
Robotic surgery training is advantageous but not mandatory
Participate in on-call duties alongside other OB/GYN professionals
Oversee the quality of care provided by Medical Assistants (MAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), and other clinical personnel at the facility
