- \n \n Assists pharmacists in medication preparation and labeling activities. Performs a broad range of technical support functions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.\n\n

- \n \n DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION\n\n
- \n
- \n \n\n Pharmacy Administration provides leadership and direction to the various pharmacy departments and programs at SHS. These include inpatient and outpatient pharmacies, Medication Management and pharmacy residency programs as well as 340B operations. We are staffed with seasoned pharmacists and technicians who help optimize pharmaceutical care throughout our SHS service area.\n\n \n

- \n \n EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS\n\n
- \n
- \n \n High school diploma or equivalent required.\n\n
- \n \n One (1) of the following required:\n\n
- \n
- \n \n Current unencumbered Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician License.\n\n
- \n \n Currently enrolled first year PharmD student in good standing with an accredited pharmacy school and current unencumbered Oregon Board of Pharmacy Intern license.\n\n

- \n \n Successful completion of Medical Pharmacy Technician course preferred.\n\n

- \n \n Communication - Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues. Ability to perform group presentations and listen to and understand complex information and ideas. \n\n
- \n \n\n Computer Literacy - Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications . Ability to operate applications, set up functions, enter data, and manipulate and process information.\n\n \n
- \n \n Customer Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction. \n\n
- \n \n Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.\n\n
- \n \n Time Management - Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in dynamic fast-paced environments and under pressure.\n\n
- \n \n Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. \n\n
- \n \n Specialty Pharmacy Technician (if applicable):\n\n

- \n \n Ability to read, understand, translate and enter prescription orders into the pharmacy management system.\n\n
- \n \n Basic working knowledge of diseases and the drugs that the pharmacy dispenses.\n\n
