NEEDED: Registered Nurse – Staff Nurse
\nLOCATION: 9000 Blue Mound Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76131
\nOPERATIONAL HOURS: 24 hours a day, five (5) days a week (Mon-Fri), weekends on an as needed basis, weekend coverage may be required for day, evening, and midnight shifts.
\nQUALIFICATIONS:

- Be licensed to practice in Fort Worth, Texas. \n
- Must take CPR/AED training every 2 years and respond to emergencies as first responders. \n
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher. \n
JOB DUTIES:
\n- \n
- Act as the nurse case manager for worker’s compensation cases. \n
- Provide all other services normally offered under an Occupational Health Medical Office Services to include audiometry, spirometry screenings, immunizations, and worker’s compensation follow up. \n
- Shall wear professional medical entire at all times while within the facility. \n
- Perform other duties as assigned. \n
- Work with web-based computer systems, medical software, Occupational Health and Safety software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite software. \n
- Assist the Medical Director with monitoring any Local, State, or Federal Pandemic mailbox and inform the medical director of all urgent matters. \n
- Must take National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Spirometry training program (16 hours every 5 years). This training allows the lead nurse to review and interpret spirometry tests (Pulmonary Function Test). \n
- Must take Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) training every 5 years. This certification allows the lead nurse to review audiograms, determine work relatedness of hearing loss, follow up work related hearing loss, and manage audiometric databases. \n
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (Encouraged, not required for Registered Nurse) Recertification is required every 5 years. CEU’s are earned instead of hours. This course is offered to registered nurses with a bachelor’s degree or higher. The focus of the COHN-S certification examination is on the roles of management education consultation and case management, in addition to direct care. \n
