\nMANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Installation Technician to join our team in Chantilly, VA. In this hands-on role, you will support the deployment and installation of secure network infrastructure and endpoint equipment in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate configurations, reliable connectivity, and successful execution of technical projects across classified workspaces.
\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
\n- \n
- Install and terminate CAT5/CAT6 and fiber cabling, including racks, patch panels, wall jacks, and associated infrastructure hardware. \n
- Perform cable pulls, terminations, pinouts, component installations, testing, documentation, and ensure proper cable management. \n
- Install and configure workstations, rebuild desktops, relocate IT equipment, and deploy network drops per provided technical documentation. \n
- Interpret design packages, wiring schematics, port maps, and network diagrams to guide and validate installation work. \n
- Troubleshoot and resolve workstation issues, connectivity problems, and equipment failures. \n
- Travel locally between customer sites and support temporary assignments as needed. \n
- Work scheduled shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM as part of a team providing coverage between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Shift may vary based on support required.

Minimum Qualifications:
\n- \n
- High School Diploma with 6+ years of experience, an Associate’s Degree with 4+ years of experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of experience. \n
- Proven experience installing and testing network drops, including labeling, cable dressing, and certifying terminations. \n
- Knowledge of structured cabling methodologies, industry standards, and common troubleshooting practices. \n
- Hands-on experience deploying IT endpoints such as desktops, printers, VOIP/digital phones, and network switches. \n
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve hardware, network, and telecom system issues. \n
- Skilled in interpreting and executing work from network diagrams, floor plans, and installation packages.

Preferred Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Direct experience supporting customer IT infrastructure installations. \n
- Background in structured cabling and IT hardware installation. \n
- Familiarity with LAN infrastructure deployment within the Sponsor’s classified environment. \n
- Ability to quickly adapt to evolving technical tasks and learn new tools or procedures. \n
- High attention to detail and effective organizational skills.

Clearance Requirements:
\n- \n
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
\n \n
Physical Requirements:
\n- \n
- Must be able to remain stationary at least 25% of the time. \n
- Must be able to operate computers, phones, and other office equipment for extended durations. \n
- Must be able to navigate office environments, including under desks, raised floors, and server closets, some of which may be confined spaces. \n
- Must be able to lift and transport IT or AV equipment weighing 50+ pounds, using carts or team lifts as needed. \n
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders (10+ feet) while routing cables or installing equipment. \n
