The Department of Pathology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Director for Molecular Pathology & Genetics with specialized training in Clinical Cytogenetics, Molecular Genetics & Molecular Oncology to join our growing team at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC.

Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Core responsibilities include daily review, interpretation, and documentation of clinical cytogenetic, FISH, chromosomal microarray, and molecular diagnostic test results within established turnaround times. \n
- Support a quality management and proficiency program according to written policies and procedures. \n
- Provide input for developing new assays and participate in test method selection and validation. \n
- Collaborate professionally with laboratory co-directors, technologists, and other laboratory operations staff. \n
- Collaborate with clinicians and researchers to provide advanced diagnostic care while supporting cutting-edge research initiatives. \n
- Play a vital role in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. \n
Requirements:
\n- \n
- PhD or MD degree or equivalent is required \n
- ABMGG board certification in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics is required. \n
- At least 2 years of post-board certification experience working in clinical cytogenetics and molecular diagnostics laboratories is preferred. \n
- Previous experience in both germline and somatic genetic testing is preferred. \n
- Ability to provide leadership to laboratory staff and other health care professionals. \n
- Outstanding professional credibility and personal integrity. \n
