Job Overview:
We are currently seeking an OB/Gyn Laborist Physician to join our medical group. The selected candidate will primarily work in Martinsburg, WV.
Key Responsibilities:
- Practice in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology as a Laborist.
Qualifications:
- Must possess an MD or DO degree or an equivalent foreign qualification.
- Eligibility for state medical licensure is required.
- Completion of an OB/Gyn Residency program is mandatory.
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics/Gynecology is essential.
- All qualifications must be fulfilled at the time of appointment.
Our Obstetrics and Gynecology team offers a comprehensive range of women’s health services, catering to patients from adolescence through menopause and beyond. Our facility handles approximately 1,100 deliveries annually, utilizing a mixed model of MDA & CRNA along with midwives who have delivery privileges.
Whether you require a routine examination, specialized gynecological care, or obstetric services, our providers are dedicated to delivering the latest advancements in obstetric and gynecological healthcare.
Berkeley Medical Center operates as a 195-bed non-profit acute care hospital, providing extensive radiology services, including MRI, PET, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology. Our offerings also include a wound care center equipped with two hyperbaric chambers, a Level III NICU, a 20-bed ICU, oncology services, neurosurgery (featuring a Mazor robot), and a Cardiac Cath Lab. Recently, we expanded our operating room services by adding four outpatient ORs and five new ORs in the main hospital, enhancing our capabilities in robotics, orthopedics, and vascular health.
Our health system, with over 2,700 beds, is the largest in the state and includes more than 20 hospitals, a children’s hospital, and five institutes, all centered around a 700-bed academic medical center located in Morgantown, West Virginia.
The Eastern Panhandle region is conveniently located just over an hour from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD. This area offers a rural setting with a lower cost of living, making it an attractive place to reside while still being easily accessible to urban amenities. Berkeley County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the state, characterized by minimal congestion and traffic. The influx of urban professionals from nearby metropolitan areas has fostered growth in local telecommuting and high-tech industries.
