Obstetrician Gynecologist Hospitalist Position

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is on the lookout for a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible OBGYN Hospitalist to join our team at a prominent hospital in Lower Manhattan. This role will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-house obstetrical coverage and oversee clinical care for patients on the labor floor.
  • Supervise and manage care for antepartum and postpartum inpatients.
  • Oversee gynecologic consultations, including those that may require surgical intervention.
  • Act as the Attending for Physician Assistants.
  • Engage in continuing medical education and contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is competitive and based on qualifications and experience, with a base salary range starting at $275,000. This package includes excellent benefits, relocation assistance, and opportunities for professional development. Please note that the salary range provided complies with New York City’s Salary Transparency regulations and is applicable to full-time roles, excluding bonuses and clinical incentive compensation. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as internal equity, specialty, training, and community needs.

Qualifications
  • A medical degree is required.
  • Completion of a 4-year ACGME-accredited residency program in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Board eligibility or certification in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • A valid New York State Medical License or the ability to obtain one.
  • A strong commitment to excellence in patient care and teaching.
