NEEDED: Radiologic Technologist

\n

LOCATION: 1 Glen Ray Road, Alderson, West Virginia, 24910

\n

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

\n

QUALIFICATIONS:

\n
    \n
  • The Radiologic Technologist shall be fully licensed to perform radiological procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
  • \n
  • Should also be licensed by the state of West Virginia
  • \n
  • Must be certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
  • \n
  • Must have at least three or more years of experience.
  • \n

JOB DUTIES:

    \n
  • Performing routine radiology and mammography services to AIC as referred by BOP Health Services Staff.
  • \n
  • Maintaining the radiology and mammography equipment through required services performed by contracting services.
  • \n
  • Independently performing all radiographic and mammographic procedures, i.e. chest, bone, skull, spine, knee, back etc.
  • \n
  • Maintaining confidentiality and privacy of medical information in the radiology department and medical conditions of the AIC and staff.
  • \n
  • Notifying the clinical director or physician of any preliminary abnormalities seen while patient is undergoing an exam, so that additional views, or exams can be ordered if needed.
  • \n
  • Providing assistance to medical staff duties assigned such as scanning of medical records, maintaining radiology badges, monitoring sanitation in the health services area, and assisting in Improving Organization Plan.
  • \n
  • Explaining appropriate instructions to the AIC who undergo radiology procedures.
  • \n
  • Maintaining mammography accreditation and related standards.
  • \n
  • Evaluating radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs and informing the HSA if repairs or calibrations or needed.
  • \n
  • Ensuring there has been an inspection for defects performed twice per year for gloves, aprons, and shields and those inspections are signed off by the clinical director and the HSA.
  • \n
