Join Us: Lead as Chief of Hematology/Oncology at Salisbury VA Medical Center – Sign-On Bonus & EDRP Available
\nThe Salisbury VA Health Care System is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Chief of Hematology/Oncology for a full-time position. We provide exceptional care across three practice locations:
\n- \n
- Salisbury VA Medical Center (VAMC): A central site offering hospital-based consulting service (no dedicated hematology-oncology inpatient service) and comprehensive outpatient clinics, including a chemo infusion suite. \n
- Healthcare Centers in Kernersville and Charlotte, NC: Both equipped with full chemo infusion capabilities. \n

Work Schedule

- Regular Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. \n
- Flexibility: Flexible or compressed schedules may be considered. \n
- Call Coverage: Approximate phone coverage of 1 in 6. \n
Academic Affiliation

- Wake Forest University School of Medicine \n
Preferred Qualifications
\n- \n
- Certification: ABIM board-certified in hematology-oncology. \n
- Experience: 5 years in clinical practice, clinical trials, and trainee oversight. \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship, with non-citizens considered only when qualified citizens cannot be recruited. \n
- Education: Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent in allopathic or osteopathic medicine. \n
- Licensure: Unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. \n
- Residency: Completion of an accredited residency program in a core specialty. \n
- Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology Oncology. \n
