JOB SUMMARY

The APP is responsible for providing health care to patients in the hospital or office setting. Works in consultation, cooperation, and coordination through a collaborative physician. Functions according to the established standards and practices of medicine for Advanced Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas. Monday-Thursday 8-5, Friday 8-12. Call required. Inpatient rounding and consults, clinic follow up appointments.

BSN, MSN, or ANP licensed in the state of Texas

- BLS \n

Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies

Thorough knowledge of patient triage, diagnosis, and evidenced-based care
\n

Knowledge in overcoming barriers from diagnosis to treatment including: financial/economic, language/culture, transportation issues
\n

Skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising
\n

Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures

Skill in problem solving
