Mount Nittany Health is seeking BC/BE Pain Management Physician! Join an employed group consisting of 11 physicians and 20+ CRNAs that provide coverage at Mount Nittany Medical Center, a 260-bed acute care facility in State College, PA. State College offers all of the luxuries of a college townincluding short commutes, NCAA Sports, Arts, high quality schools and outdoor recreation abounds with beautiful hiking and biking trails. Community based medicine is a plus! The physician will be provided a robust recruitment package.
\nThe Position: Pain Management
\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations. \n
- Provide evidence-informed medical and/or interventional pain management to patients based on appropriate clinical indication and meet high standards of care. \n
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and laboratory studies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. \n
- Utilize fluoroscopy or ultrasound to perform most interventions. \n
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals. \n
- Participate in collaborative care with other providers and support the services available for multidisciplinary interventional pain management. \n
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities to stay abreast of advancements in pain management techniques and best practices. \n
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and practice protocolsn in a timely and professional manner. \n
- Other duties based on need, including teaching, research, educational presentations, expert opinion report preparation, and administrative tasks. \n
Compensation Package:

- W2: Competitive Compensation and Benefits package \n
- PTO:9 weeks \n
- CME:1 week \n
- CME allowance $3,500 annually \n
- Sign-on bonus: $40k over 3 years \n
Qualification
\n- \n
- Medical Doctor Degree (University-affiliated medical school preferred). \n
- Resident training in university-affiliated hospital preferred. \n
- Current Pennsylvania medical license. \n
- Current DEA registration. \n
- ABA Board-certification and pain fellowship required \n
- Past medical licensure has never been challenged, suspended or revoked. \n
- Hospital privileges have never been revoked at any hospital. \n
- No past convictions for fraud, narcotics, or any felony offense. \n
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. \n
- Requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. \n
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. \n
- Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Requires exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. \n
- Requires working under stress in emergency situations or during irregular hours. \n
