Our organization is seeking skilled ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technicians to become part of our team in Batesville, AR.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
In this role, you will conduct x-ray examinations, utilizing your understanding of anatomy and physiology to assist with patient movement and body mechanics. You will operate diagnostic machinery, develop images, and prepare the examination room with the necessary tools and supplies for procedures, while also fulfilling Medical Assistant responsibilities.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
The following tasks outline the general expectations for this role, though additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

  • Warmly welcome patients as they arrive in the waiting area, examination room, or x-ray room.
  • Maintain clear communication with patients regarding wait times and guide them through the treatment process.
  • Address patient concerns and seek assistance in urgent or hazardous situations.
  • Conduct follow-up calls promptly and with urgency.
  • Support front desk staff with patient check-in and check-out procedures when required.
  • Accurately gather and document patient vital signs, weight, brief medical history, family and social history, current medications, allergies, and other relevant information.
  • Assist in transferring patients as needed.
  • Help with procedures under the direct supervision of the provider.
  • Adhere to documentation protocols and complete all necessary paperwork related to patient visits.
  • Carry out timely radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards in examinations.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while following established clinical and regulatory guidelines for safety and care, including proper radiation protection techniques.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and report any issues to the Manager or on-duty provider.
  • Take responsibility for enhancing and maintaining your diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills through external educational resources.
  • Maintain current licensure and certification for the facility's radiology equipment.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time employees will follow a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, which includes 12-hour shifts on weekdays and every other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) staff will be scheduled as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Arkansas State X-Ray License.
  • ARRT Certification is preferred.
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant is advantageous.
