Position Overview and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional, patient-focused care that aligns with departmental needs and adheres to the standards of practice relevant to the state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other team members, the RN offers personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care by utilizing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes, thereby contributing to overall departmental success.

• Regularly evaluates patient pain to ensure effective pain management, including follow-up assessments after interventions.
• Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, documenting care in the patient’s medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Delivers outstanding care by responding swiftly to patient requests and proactively addressing their needs.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care, simplifying complex medical terms for better understanding.
• Instructs patients and families on non-medical follow-up actions, such as healthy eating, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications, preparing them for self-management.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 6 months of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be acquired within 30 days of starting employment.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification must be completed within 60 days of starting employment.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Registered Nurse Diploma is necessary.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within 1 year of starting employment.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course or Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be completed within 30 days of starting employment.

No travel is required for this position.

One year of experience is necessary.
