Position: Operating Room Technician - Surgical Technician

Salary Range: $1,344.00 - $1,728.00 weekly (base gross), based on a standard 40-hour workweek (5 days of 8 hours each); this translates to an hourly rate of $33.60 – $43.20.

Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

Shifts Available: Full Time - Variable

Key Responsibilities

Become a part of a dynamic surgical tech team.

We are looking for a seasoned Travel Operating Room Technician for a 12-week role in a bustling perioperative/operating room environment.

• Prepare and arrange sterile supplies and instruments for designated surgical procedures.
• Ensure the maintenance of a sterile field throughout each surgical case.
• Assist the surgeon by anticipating needs and providing sterile instruments and supplies during operations.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience is required for new hires as of April 2014.
• Completion of an Operating Room Technician training program or equivalent on-the-job training with at least 3 years of experience (preferably in a surgical setting).
• Experience in scrubbing for both minor and major procedures across general surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General Surgery, and Plastics).
• Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialized surgical areas (e.g., orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, urology, etc.).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire, with maintenance of certification required.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Operating Room Technician is mandatory.

Compensation Transparency

Our organization provides competitive pay, with an estimated compensation range for this role being $33.60 to $43.20 per hour. This estimate is specific to California and has not been adjusted for other locations. The precise starting salary will be determined during the hiring process, taking into account various factors such as skill set, relevant experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
