Job Opportunity: Faculty Position in Family Medicine Residency Program

We are seeking a full-time or nearly full-time physician faculty member for our Family Medicine Residency Program, which is affiliated with a prominent university and located in St. Louis Park, a vibrant suburb of Minneapolis. Our program features a competitive 6-6-6 structure and serves a diverse patient demographic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct hospital rounds and participate in on-call duties.
• Precept residents in various clinical settings, including prenatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric care, as well as office procedures.
• Mentor and advise residents throughout their training.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including curriculum development and research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in postgraduate clinical practice and resident education is preferred.
• Newcomers to academic medicine will receive support for faculty development.
• Ongoing skills in prenatal and birthing care are highly valued.

Working Environment

Our organization has a long-standing tradition of teaching and education, having hosted the residency since its inception. We are part of a nonprofit integrated healthcare system that provides comprehensive health services and health plan administration. The residency is sponsored by a well-respected university, allowing residents and faculty to engage in educational experiences with the university's Department of Family Medicine and Community Health.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package that aligns with industry standards for family physicians. Additional compensation is available for faculty who participate in inpatient rounds and those involved in obstetrics. Job responsibilities will be tailored to the faculty member's interests and full-time equivalent (FTE) status, with an expected distribution of approximately:

• 50% dedicated to resident education
• 30% focused on clinical practice
• 20% allocated for scholarly activities and administrative duties related to resident education

Compensation is determined by the role's requirements and level, as well as factors such as education, experience, skills, location, and internal equity. This position may also qualify for a work RVU productivity bonus. The salary range for this role is between $247,416.00 and $367,494.40 annually.
