Job Summary:

Project Location: Port Arthur, TX

\n

\n

Pay Range: $42.00 / per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience).

\n

\n

Per Diem: $100 / per day worked.

\n

\n

Responsibilities:

    \n
  • Identify practices and conditions that are safe as well as those that are at risk and provide appropriate, on-the-spot corrective action if needed.
  • \n
  • Check the adequacy of existing job/task methods and procedures.
  • \n
  • Provide appropriate, on-the-spot corrective action
  • \n
  • Instruct journeymen in specific craft tasks including safety procedures and techniques
  • \n
  • Be knowledgeable of other craft disciplines in order to effect work coordination between crafts and to prevent jurisdictional conflicts.
  • \n
  • Read and interpret blueprints, understand job specifications, implement Bechtel job procedures and work rules, and inspect finished work for quality and completeness
  • \n
  • Understand the work scope and integrate priorities of the project.
  • \n
  • Understand work priorities and schedules.
  • \n
  • Complete planned work on schedule.
  • \n
  • Identify potential problems in a timely manner.
  • \n
  • Take quick remedial action when work performed is not according to drawings and specifications, code requirements, or to quality of accepted construction standards.
  • \n
  • Be familiar with project cost control procedures and be committed to stay within established cost goals and unit rate standards
  • \n
  • Ensure accurate reports are submitted with regard to time sheets, backcharges, quantity, and work status.
  • \n
  • Typically has 6 years industrial construction experience with 2 years in Supervisory roles.
