Position Overview:

This role involves leading and coordinating staffing within the unit while ensuring the execution of clinical goals and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, guide, educate, and assess nursing and support personnel during assigned shifts, contributing to or conducting performance evaluations.
  • Evaluate daily patient care requirements and create and assign patient care tasks, ensuring that care is tailored to the specific needs of the patient population.
  • Work collaboratively with advanced practice providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Assess the effectiveness of patient care and identify any challenges impacting desired results.
  • Address patient care complaints and manage them through established protocols.
  • May provide input on hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff members.
  • Maintain a constant state of alertness and operate safely.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly use speech for effective oral communication.
  • Consistently stand and walk.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing between 0-25 lbs.
  • Engage in frequent sitting, reaching, and data entry tasks.
  • Utilize vision and depth perception for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, as well as to identify and differentiate colors.
  • Regularly use smell to detect and recognize odors.
  • Frequently rely on hearing to receive verbal communication and identify body sounds or alarms.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasionally assist in lifting or moving patients.
  • Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, grip, and perform repetitive movements with legs and arms.
  • Occasionally drive.
  • Rarely crawl or run.
Licenses and Certifications:

Location: Oklahoma

  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by a Compact State or by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN).
