Job Summary and QualificationsRegistered Nurses are responsible for delivering and coordinating patient care. They work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide both physical and emotional support to patients and their families.
Key responsibilities of the Registered Nurse include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting assessments and reassessments, creating personalized care plans, administering medications, maintaining documentation, educating patients, ensuring proper equipment maintenance, and communicating patient needs.
In this role, you will:
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Provide respiratory care, manage ventilators, and monitor patients.
- Act as the primary coordinator for all disciplines involved in patient care.
- Utilize computerized documentation systems to monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
- Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with your healthcare team.
Qualifications required for this position include:
- Current RN licensure from the KY Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Preferred experience in an ICU setting.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- BLS certification is required.
- Must obtain ACLS certification within six months of hire or transfer from a non-ICU area.
- One to two years of clinical nursing experience is preferred.
