About Our Facilities

Our organization operates Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) that offer:

• Long-term care for residents needing ongoing skilled support and compassionate daily assistance
• Short-term, sub-acute rehabilitation for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury
• Collaborative care through an interdisciplinary team approach involving nursing, therapy, and medical staff

As a therapy professional, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve functional improvements and enhance their quality of life in a supportive, patient-centered setting.

Role of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

The SLP will deliver direct rehabilitation services in speech therapy to patients referred by physicians, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited speech therapy program (minimum MS or MA in SLP)
• ASHA certification (CCCs) OR eligibility for a 9-month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) to obtain ASHA certification (CCCs) and meet ASHA credentialing criteria. Maintenance of ASHA credentials is required.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Engage in community health initiatives and projects as appropriate
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication
• Act as a liaison with patients, families, and support departments
• Understand and apply practices, procedures, and regulations governing post-acute care facilities
• Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
• Exhibit proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information
• Adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
• Demonstrate integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing required compliance training
• For SLP CCC holders: Supervise and evaluate care provided by SLP CFYs
• For SLP CFYs: Follow speech therapy treatment plans under the guidance of a supervising SLP CCC, in accordance with federal and state guidelines
• Utilize therapy software accurately and effectively
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients
• Possess strong English language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension
