Family Medicine OB Faculty Position

We are currently looking for a Family Medicine Residency Faculty Physician with a specialization in Obstetrics to join our main campus located in Florence, South Carolina. Our medical center handles over two thousand deliveries each year and boasts a robust and supportive OB-GYN department. This faculty role involves overseeing residents to ensure they fulfill all ACGME/ABFM Women's Health competency standards.

The Family Medicine Residency has a rich history of twenty-five years in non-operative obstetrics. The Florence program is home to twenty-seven residents and is supported by a team of nine clinicians, a clinical pharmacist, a clinical psychologist, and a dentist faculty member. Our Family Medicine Center, recently renovated and spanning thirty-seven thousand square feet, is fully equipped with simulation models and ultrasound technology.

We are in search of candidates who are passionate about teaching comprehensive family medicine. Our program has built a strong reputation over the past 40 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide full-spectrum family medicine, including prenatal care.
  • Inpatient care and OB deliveries are required.
  • Act as a liaison among the obstetrics, pediatrics, and family medicine departments.
  • Oversee a bi-weekly OB clinic within the Family Medicine Practice.
  • Supervise residents in labor and delivery, newborn nursery, and postpartum care.
