The Licensed Practice Nurse, utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice for adult/geriatric patients.\n

\nThe Regional Resource LPN will float between the designated Community Mercy Hospital facilities.\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Required Education:\n
  \n
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
  \n
\n
• Licensure: \n
  \n
  • Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
  \n
\n
• Experience:\n
  \n
  • One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg.
  \n
  • For all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.) a minimum of two years of recent bed-side LPN experience.\n
    \n
    • Preferred Experience: Epic experience
    \n
  \n
\n
• Certifications (Must have to start) :\n
  \n
  • For Med Surg (MS) - BLS
  \n
\n
• \n

  For Critical Care (CC) - BLS, ACLS

\n
• For Emergency Department (ED) - BLS, ACLS, & PALS
\n
• IV certification required
\n
• Physical Requirements/Demands: \n
  \n
  • Stand/Walk most of the time on duty; significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
  \n
