The Director of Spiritual Care coordinates and manages the religious and spiritual care provided for all residents, families, and staff.

Schedule:
- Part-time
What Youll Do:
- Provides leadership to and works with the spiritual care team in planning events and programs for residents and employees.
- Oversees visitation of all residents and completes new resident assessments.
- Is available for employee spiritual counseling when needed.
- Chairs the Ethics Committee.
- Coordinates Weekly services for Catholic and Protestant residents.
- Translates and ensures the key elements of Mission and Catholic identity in the culture.
- Creates a ministry culture based on the core values and heritage which encourages pride and ownership in the Mission. Helps give meaning and purpose to the work.
- Cultivates spirituality in the workplace. Leads theological reflections with managers and associates.
- Ensures that the ethics consultation function operates within the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Healthcare Services. Ordinarily serves as chair of the facility Ethics Committee when there is one.
- Oversees the spiritual care staff. Ensures that excellent spiritual care is integrated within the continuum of care.
- Ensure appropriate religious services are provided for all residents; oversees care of the chapel.
- Participates and communicates with faith communities and other agencies providing care.
Job Requirements:
Education: Formal preparation in educational techniques. Thorough background in philosophy, theology or other religious studies curriculum. Ability to articulate the history, purposes, structure, philosophy and mission of the organization and of the facility.
Experience: Experience in a Health Care position of a scope that included participation in ethical decision-making.
