A unique opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to serve in an Emergency Department at a tribal clinic/hospital in Arizona. This role encompasses a true decentralized ED pharmacist position, primarily focused on night shifts with a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation. Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services within the Emergency Department during night shifts.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize emergency patient care.
  • Utilize the proprietary RPMS electronic health record system, similar to the VA’s VistA.
  • Maintain certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS (willingness to obtain required).
  • Adapt to the decentralized model by working on-site closely with clinical staff.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Pharmacist license (Arizona pharmacist license not required due to tribal facility status).
  • Clinical experience is essential, with preference given to residency-trained or hospital-experienced pharmacists.
  • Willingness to work in a remote tribal clinic setting.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development including emergency certification acquisition.

Schedule:

  • Night shifts: 10 hours per shift.
  • Work schedule: 7 consecutive nights on followed by 7 days off.
