\nMcLeod Health seeks to hire an experienced Physician Assistant to establish and grow our Orthopedic Spine program on the coast in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
\nResponsibilities Include:

Provide comprehensive care for spine patients, including evaluation of axial and radicular spine conditions, conservative management, and postoperative care
\n - \n
Work closely with supervising physician specializing in Orthopedics/Orthopedic Spine Surgery, supporting a high-volume spine practice
\n - \n
Collaborate within a robust orthopedic group composed of 22 providers (physicians and APPs) supported by strong ancillary staff
\n - \n
Maintain a consistent schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
\n
\n - \n
- \n
Manage a patient mix of 90% outpatient spine care and 10% OR support
\n - \n
Provide care to approximately 15-25 spine patients daily
\n - \n
Participate in a structured onboarding process including shadowing, EPIC training, imaging review, and spine-care pathways
\n - \n
Contribute to the APP pooled call model as needed
\n
Qualifications:
\n- \n

Preferred: 5 years of experience as a Physician Assistant, ideally with orthopedic or neurosurgical spine background
\n - \n
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered care
\n - \n
Strong proficiency in interpreting spine imaging, managing postoperative pathways, and performing urgent spine assessments
\n - \n
Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
\n - \n
Commitment to optimizing clinic efficiency and improving patient access
