Mercyhealth System in Freeport, Illinois is currently seeking a Full-Time, Board-Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join our experienced Hospitalist team at FHN Memorial Hospital.

\n

We are specifically seeking a seasoned hospitalist who is comfortable managing a broad range of inpatient acuity and contributing to program quality and growth initiatives within a community-focused hospital environment.

Opportunity Overview:\n

• Full-Time Position
\n
• 7 on / 7 off Schedule
\n
• 12-hour shifts
\n
• 7:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m. (Day Shift)
\n
• Night Shift opportunities available with premium compensation
\n
• Includes weekends and holidays
\n
• EMR transitioning to EPIC
\n
• E-ICU support model currently in place, transitioning toward expanded in-house coverage
\n

Departmental Scope:\n

\n

Hospitalists manage a wide range of inpatient cases including:

\n

Acute medical admissions
\n Chronic disease exacerbations
\n Post-surgical medical management
\n Care coordination and discharge planning
\n Collaboration with primary care and specialty providers

\n

Strong system-wide collaboration across Mercyhealths Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin network.

Required Qualifications:\n

\n
• MD/DO Board Certified (preferred) or Board Eligible
\n
• Internal Medicine or Family Medicine training
\n
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure
\n
• ACLS and BLS certification
\n
• Demonstrated inpatient experience strongly preferred
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
\n

Compensation & Benefits:\n

Day Shift Base Salary: $345,000

\n

Night Shift: Premium compensation available

\n
