Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery Inpatient Rounding Nurse Practitioner

Our Cardiothoracic team is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join a highly specialized, fast-paced inpatient service. This team performs a wide range of procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), maze procedures, aortic repairs, and valve replacements.

This is a 100% inpatient role focused on the care of post-operative patients, along with managing consults and coordinating discharges. Youll play a key role in guiding patients through their recovery while working closely with an experienced, collaborative surgical team.

Schedule & Role Details:
\n 5 days per week, 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
\n 100% inpatient
\n Work alongside 2 surgeons and 3 APPs
\n Night call rotation: 1:3 to 1:4
\n Weekend/holiday rotation: 1:3 to 1:4
\n Hands-on training provided

What Youll Do:
\n Round on post-operative cardiothoracic patients
\n Manage consults and coordinate care plans
\n Facilitate discharges and ensure smooth transitions of care

Qualifications:
\n Certified Nurse Practitioner with (or eligible for) Virginia licensure and active DEA
\n Team-oriented with a strong commitment to patient care
\n Provider Experience in general surgery, critical care, cardiology, or cardiothoracic surgery preferred
