We are looking for a Senior AWS Redshift Data Engineer to join our data team on a full-time 1099 contract through the end of the year. You'll work alongside a team of five data professionals, with a primary focus on optimizing our AWS Redshift environment and improving the performance of our data infrastructure.
What You'll Do\n- \n
- Optimize and maintain large-scale AWS Redshift clusters and data warehouse performance (60%) \n
- Improve and support ETL pipelines using Kafka and ECS jobs (30%) \n
- Enhance BI performance and data availability for reporting tools such as Looker (10%) \n
- Prepare and expose data for AI-enabled applications and MCPs \n
- Collaborate closely with the data engineering and BI teams \n

- 7–10 years of experience in data engineering, database administration, or related roles \n
- Must be based in the United States \n
- Extensive experience optimizing AWS Redshift clusters, including environments with hundreds of terabytes of data \n
- Strong experience tuning, repairing, and maintaining heavily queried and frequently updated Redshift tables \n
- Experience configuring and managing Kafka streams \n
- Experience with Looker or a similar BI platform \n
- Familiarity with Python and/or AI-enabled data workflows is a strong plus \n
Contract Type: 1099 (35 hours/ week)
Duration: Through the end of the year (with an expected July start)
