\nWelcome to our high-energy, fast-paced 30-bed Surgical & Orthopedic Care Unit. Our diverse patient population includes a broad range of medical and post-operative cases, such as:

Orthopedic procedures: knees, hips, shoulders
\n - \n
General surgeries: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resections
\n - \n
Specialized care: bariatric surgery, sepsis, pancreatitis, and stable pneumothorax
\n
We maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, supported by highly skilled Patient Care Associates to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care delivery.

\nEducation & Licensure:
\n- \n

Graduate of an accredited RN program
\n - \n
Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
\n - \n
Must meet all state board of nursing requirements
\n
Certifications Required:
\n- \n
- \n
ACLS β Advanced Cardiac Life Support
\n - \n
BLS β Basic Life Support (or within 30 days of hire)
\n - \n
Any unit-specific certifications (with timeline for completion)
\n
Physical Requirements:
\n- \n
- \n
Regularly lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
\n - \n
Prolonged standing/walking throughout shift
\n - \n
Ability to bend, kneel, twist, squat as needed
\n
