Title: OBGYN Physician, Laborist

Location: Greenwich, CT

We are thrilled to present a remarkable opportunity for exceptional Laborists to become part of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences within one of Connecticut's largest and most comprehensive healthcare systems. This organization is renowned for its advanced clinical care, commitment to quality, service excellence, cost-effectiveness, and dedication to enhancing the health of the communities it serves.

As a member of our dedicated team of maternity specialists, you will collaborate with board-certified physicians, nationally certified nurses, midwives, and experts in high-risk pregnancies. Qualified Laborists will hold full-time positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor within the Academic Clinician track. Our medical team works closely with obstetricians, utilizing cutting-edge technology to provide exceptional care in the Labor and Delivery Unit. Together, our experienced doctors and nurses help bring nearly 2,600 new lives into the world each year!

Qualifications:

  • Board certified or eligible in general obstetrics and gynecology
  • Exceptional surgical skills and proficiency in operative vaginal deliveries
  • Proven track record of excellence in evidence-based obstetric care and education
  • Experience collaborating with certified nurse midwives, along with an interest in engaging in and conducting clinical research, is preferred
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts (2-4 days per week)
  • Experience in monitoring laboring patients and delivering unassigned patients
  • Strong safety record
  • Excellent communication skills with patients and attending physicians
  • Commitment to patient safety

Education and Training:

  • Medical School: Completion of a medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Residency: Completion of an accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology
