Additional Information
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- California medical license is mandatory
- Completion of residency and fellowship is essential
- BLS and DEA certifications are required
- Working hours: 8 AM to 4:30 PM
- Coverage needed from November 30 to December 4, and December 21 to December 25
- Work environment: General Acute Care Hospital (Stroke Certified, not accredited as a Chest Pain Center, and no Trauma Level designation)
- Required Procedures: lumbar punctures, barium studies, various centesis procedures with drains, and CT/US biopsies preferred. Interventional Radiology procedures include thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tube placements, intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tube insertions, and suprapubic catheter placements; biopsies for thyroid, lung, and other tissues.
- Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner
- Daily admissions: 12-15 patients
- Patient Volume: Emergency Department sees approximately 85-90 patients daily, with an average inpatient/observation census of around 50 patients (including ICU and OB).
